Kalamazoo Valley Community College

KVCC has identified an FSM Designated Campus Champion to support students with experience in foster care on site and with community resources. Additionally, Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC) offers dedicated financial assistance and support services for current and former foster youth through its Special Populations program. Students can receive help with tuition, books, and living expenses, as well as personal support to navigate college successfully. [1, 2]Financial Support

  • State & Federal Aid: Foster youth can apply for the Fostering Futures Scholarship and Education and Training Vouchers (ETV), which provide up to $5,000 per year for school and living expenses. [1]
  • Community College Guarantee: Many young adults may also qualify to attend KVCC tuition-free through state-sponsored guarantee programs. [1]
